LLM Insights (“we”, “our”, or “the extension”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle data when you use our Chrome extension.

What Data We Collect

The extension collects and stores the following data locally on your device only:

1. ChatGPT Responses (only from extension-initiated conversations)
   • Prompt text you submit through the extension
   • Response text from ChatGPT
   • Citations and sources provided by ChatGPT
   • Metadata (timestamps, project IDs, run IDs)
2. Project Information
   • Project names
   • Domain and brand names you configure
   • Prompt lists you create
3. Extension Settings
   • User preferences and configurations
   • Last selected project

How Data is Stored

• All data is stored locally in your browser using Chrome’s storage.local API
• No data is transmitted to external servers
• No data is shared with third parties
• No analytics or tracking services are used

Data Usage

We use the collected data solely to:

• Display analytics and insights in the dashboard
• Organize prompts by project
• Track citation patterns and source visibility
• Generate reports and exports

Data Retention

• Data is retained indefinitely in your browser’s local storage until you delete it
• You can delete individual project data or all data at any time through the extension interface
• Uninstalling the extension will remove all stored data

   • Purpose: Open ChatGPT tabs for automated prompt processing
   • No tab content is accessed outside ChatGPT domains

   • Purpose: Notify you when batch processing is complete
   • Optional feature

Host Permissions

• https://chatgpt.com/* and https://chat.openai.com/*
  • Purpose: Extract ChatGPT responses and metadata
  • Only active on ChatGPT domains
  • No other websites are accessed

Third-Party Services

The extension does NOT:

• Send data to external servers
• Use analytics or tracking services
• Share data with third parties
• Collect personal information beyond what you explicitly enter
• Use cookies or similar tracking technologies

User Rights

You have the right to:

• Access all your data through the dashboard
• Export your data to Excel format
• Delete individual projects or all data
• Control what prompts and projects you create

Data Security

• All data is stored using Chrome’s secure storage API
• Data is only accessible by the extension
• No encryption is applied as data never leaves your device
• You are responsible for securing your device

Children’s Privacy

The extension is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Changes will be posted with a new “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance.
